Subsidy of ¥450,000 Now Available for Vehicle Purchases
Fabless EV manufacturer folofly Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hiroyasu Koma, Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) announced that its EV F1 VAN, Japan’s first 1-ton class last-mile commercial EV, was recognized in September 2022 as eligible for the Clean Energy Vehicle (CEV) subsidy program under the Next Generation Vehicle Promotion Center.
This program, overseen by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, aims to promote the adoption of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and other clean energy vehicles by providing subsidies. Buyers of the EV F1 VAN can receive a subsidy of ¥450,000.
The EV F1 VAN was also recognized in July as eligible for a subsidy under the Advanced Trucks and Buses Introduction Acceleration Program, which offers up to ¥884,000 for vehicle purchases. With the addition of the CEV subsidy, buyers can now choose between two subsidy options based on their situation.
folofly continues to focus on developing services that reduce both carbon dioxide emissions and running costs in the logistics industry.

Background of the folofly EV F1 Series Development – Addressing the Demand for Decarbonization in the Logistics Industry
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the surge in online shopping has spurred growth in the logistics sector. folofly adopted a horizontal division of labor model, focusing on planning and design in Japan while outsourcing production overseas. This approach enabled the company to develop and market Japan’s first 1-ton class EV trucks, the EV F1 VAN and EV F1 TRUCK, at double the usual speed.
With a growing number of inquiries about the EV F1 series, folofly is responding to diverse demands in the logistics industry, which vary by business type, transport method, and cargo content. folofly remains committed to developing vehicles and services that meet customer needs and contribute to a sustainable society.
